The camp site is next to the elementary school.
The campsite is sheltered with trees. There is electricity, toilets,
a shower, as well as hot and cold running water. The campsite is only
a few minutes walk away from the award winning "infinity pool" of
Hofsós. A solid day in Hofsós could include warming up in the
geothermal swimming pool, visiting the emigration center, enjoying a
great dinner at Retro, the restaurant in the old town by the sea, and
basking in the unbelievable sunset over the islands in the fjord(if
it’s early/late enough in the summer for the sun to set at all). For

The campsites in Sauðárkrókur, Hofsós, Hólar and Varmahlíð are working
together. You can therefore stay the first night in any of the
campsites and the next night in any of the others at our discounted
rate, so please remember where you keep your ticket :)
