The camp site Hamrar by Akureyri is an excellent camp site with great facilities and enough to do for the children. The camp site has a 24 hour surveillance.
MeiraAkureyri, Thorunnarstraeti
The camp site is located close to the centrum of Akureyir. The area is closed and only guests are allowed access. The facilities are excellent and it is a short walk to the swimming pool.

The town of Grenivík is only a short distance from Ártún. At Grenivík you can find a grocery store, swimming pool, golfcourse, fishery museum, gallery and much more. There are many interesting sights close by the camp site.

Asbyrgi is one of two camp sites in the national park in Jokulsargljufrum. The second camp site is in Vesturdalur (western valley)

The western valley has one of two camp sites in the national park. The second camp site and the larger is located in Asbyrgi.

The camp site in the town Blönduós is good and well equipped camp site. It is also possible to rent summer houses and is therefor suitible to welcome large groups with various needs. The camp site has a playground, a football field and a service house.

The camp site in Dalvík is located in a good location in the small town of Dalvík. The swimming pool is next to the camp site.

The camp site is in a quiet are in the small village Hauganesin the fjord Eyjafjörður. It is about a 20 minutes drive to Akureyri and 10 minutes to Dalvík

The camp site Heiðarbaer is well located 5 star camp site with space for folding campers as well as mobile homes. The camp site has good facilities such as toilets, cooking facilities and much more.
MeiraHlid, Lake Myvatn
The scenery around the camp site is divers, good flat areas and lava tubs that offer good shelter. The camp site is about 1 km from the lake and not many trees, that results in low number of gnat flies at the camp site.
MeiraHofsos
Hofsos campsite is placed in the middle of the quiet litle town of Hofsos, just beside the elementary school, which gives the perfect opportunity for children to use the schools playground while staying in Hofsos. It is nice to take a walk along the coastline in Hofsós and take a look at the beautiful columnar basalt or go to the Hofsós Icelandic Emigration museum and end with a nice ice-cream at Solvik restaurant. The Hofsós swimmingpool was choosen the best in Iceland in 2011.
MeiraHolar i Hjaltadal
The campsite in Holar is one of the most interesting campsites in Iceland due to the long history and the beautiful nature of Holar. The campsite is surrounded by forest which gives great shelter and a cozy atmosphere. There are many hiking trails leaving from Holar, both for short as well as longer trails.

The camp site at Hrafnagil is located in the fjord Eyjafjörður. The facilities are good with a swimming pool in the area.

The camp site in Húnaver is next to highway number 1. It is a big camp site and open next to a small forest.
MeiraHusabakki
Húsabakki has a good camp site with electricity for folding campers, caravans and mobile homes. Also a playground, miniature golf and a spot in the forest for camp fires. The location is excellent for outdoors activities and walking trips.
MeiraHúsavík

The camp site is in a great location. From Húsavík is a short distance to visit some of the most popular attractions in Iceland such as the waterfall Dettifoss, Mývatn lake and Ásbyrgi.
MeiraKirkjuhvammur, Hvammstanga
The camp site Kirkjuhvammur is in a great location above Hvammstangi. The site is large and with great facilities. The area is divided into several large areas and several smallar areas with a small creek beside the camp site.

The camp site in the village Kópasker is located by the entrance to the village. The facilities er good and many walking paths close by.

The camp site in the small village Laugar is located next to highway number 1. It is operated with the store and restaurant Dalakofinn.

The camp site at Lífsmótun is a peaceful camp site. To get there you turn towards Laugar from highway number 1 onto road 846. When crossing the bridge you turn right.

The camp site Lónsá is located close to highway no 1 when entering Akureyri in the direction from Reykjavík.

The camp site Lundur is only a short distance from many of icelands most beautiful spots. Only 5 minutes drive to Ásbyrgi and also a short distance to the waterfall Dettifoss or to Jökulsárgljúfur.

Saudarkrokur campsite is located in the center of the town just next to the swimming pool and is an excellent choice for those who want to have everything nearby. Restaurants, shops, museums and pubs are just a short walking distance away.

The camp site is in a peaceful and quiet place at the top of the street Bogabraut and if facing the sun during the day. The area is family friendly with a playground and an exciting environment for children.
MeiraSteinsstadir
The camp site is in two different places by the swimming pool. The facilities are good and by the main camp site there is a heated dining room with cooking facilities.
MeiraSystragil
The camp site Systragil is in the valley Fnjóskadalur, a short distance from Akureyir. A swimming pool, 9 hole golf course and fishing is a short distance away.
MeiraVaglaskogur
The camp site Vaglaskógur is in the valley Fnjóskárdalur. The forest Vaglaskógur is the second largest forest in Iceland and one of the most beautiful. There are many beautiful walking paths in the forest. Akureyri is only 23 km away.
MeiraVarmahlid
The campsite in Varmahlid is a family friendly campsite placed at the foot of the hill of Reykjarholl in between the trees of a lovely small forest. It is very sheltered from the prevailing north-wind and weathers and has a cozy warm atmosphere to it. Just a few minutes’ walk up the hill, gives you a unique view of the Skagafjordur area. Playground and a child friendly swimming pool are 2-300 meters away.
