The campsite at Garðskagi Point is a beautiful spot between the two lighthouses. It offers an unrestricted view of the Atlantic Ocean in its ever-changing moods and forms. The campsite is right on the coast and is considered one of the premier bird-watching sites in Iceland. Whales can also often be seen just off the coast and there are lovely hiking trails along the two very different coastlines on either side of Garðskagi Point.
The campsite is a low-service campsite. We offer camping for tents, cars, campers, and trailers. Twenty-four-hour toilet facilities are available, hot and cold water, a sink for washing utensils, a waste disposal (dump) point, and electricity for campers. There are no showers, washing machines, or indoor facilities.
There is however, Röstin restaurant, a great museum with various shows, and the lighthouses for those who want to stay in close contact with nature and enjoy our shows, good food, and the fantastic view.
The campsite is open all year. Pay the fee in Röstin restaurant during opening hours or online with parka.is/gardskagi.
