Next to the war and peace museum at Hlaðir is a quiet and peaceful camp site, about 40 min drive from Reykjavík and 20 min drive from Akranes.
There is a large camp site at Hlaðir that can accommodate tents, folding campers, caravans and mobile homes. There is a ballroom that can take up to 60 persons in seats and is ideal for groups, conferences or meetings.
The war and peace museum has a unique story about the occupation from 1940 – 1945. A history that changed a peaceful fjord into a key factor for the allied forces in world war 2. Relics are shown that are connected to the history and culture of those times.

Price for adults (13–66 years): 1,900 ISK
Senior citizens (67+): 1,500 ISK
Accommodation fee per unit: 400 ISK
Free for 12 years and younger.
Price for electricity: 1,800 ISK per night.
