Húnavellir Campsite is located just off Road 1 in a peaceful and scenic setting in North Iceland. The area is family-friendly and surrounded by beautiful nature and tranquility. Húnavellir is a great stopover for those traveling the Ring Road or exploring North Iceland. Next to the campsite is a guesthouse, and guests have access to a geothermal swimming pool, hot tubs, and nearby walking trails through nature.
Blönduós is the nearest town, just a short drive away, offering grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants.
Húnavellir is also a popular venue for family reunions and other gatherings.

The campsite features spacious, level grass areas suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes.
There are various recreational options for guests of all ages. Adjacent to the hotel is a 17-meter outdoor geothermal swimming pool and a cozy hot tub, both facing south and enjoying sunlight throughout the day—ideal for swimming or relaxing.
The area also includes excellent sports facilities such as a football field, a small pitch, and a fun playground for children, making Húnavellir perfect for both relaxation and activity.
The newly renovated service house includes spacious restrooms and a lounge. On the side of the building is a dishwashing station.
Vehicle traffic is limited within the site, and the maximum speed is 15 km/h to ensure safety for all guests.
