The camp site is located at the Studlagil Canyon where you can see the canyon. Spacious camping site with toilet, shower and area for washing dishes. Because we need heat up water with electricity, the price for a shower is 400 iskr. with coins. At the site is a food trailer and handcraft market open 9-18 during the summer months. We have camping kitchen area for cooking and washing dishes. We offer an electricity to plug tents/caravans. Note that we can not offer electricity for charge electricity cars.
The camp site provides for excellent day tours, the site is close to the highland and National Park, Askja, Mt. Snæfell, Laugavellir, and Karanjukar dam or to the fjords (Vopnafjordur, Seyðisfjordur, Borgarfjordur, and more). All these places are within the reach of a day-tour. Nearest town is Egilsstaðir (70 km.). There are many stores and services in Egilsstaðir and a lot of attraction in the area with natural beauty all around.
The last 10 kilometres of road into the camping site is current not accessible for caravans.
The price for one night is 2.300 p.p + lodging tax 400 kr. The lodging tax is pr. unit (car, tent or caravan). Electricity 1.500 pr night
