🚀 Sneak Peek: A new Tjalda.is!
We've redesigned your camping experience — check it out.
The Sudavik camping site was opened in 2005 and is located on the other site of a house used for social gatherings. The camping site is in perfect condition and view spectacular and overlooking the mountain ridges. Mountain Kofra is in the West and Mount Kambsnes in the East.
Opened in 2005 the fully serviced and spacious Súðavík Camp Site is a family favourite for Icelanders and Foreign tourists alike.
The area is always open, and the campsite warden visits the area during the day. Otherwise, campers can call the warden's phone number: 848-7959.
Located in the „old village“ of Súðavík the campsite is just meters from the famous Raggagarður Free Family Park where locals have donated their time and energy in the creation of a family play area with activities for all the family, from toddlers to grandparents, complete with a service hut and great outdoor BBQ facilities.
The campsite offers direct access to a variety of walking and hiking trails, including the iconic Kofra mountain as well as into the village of Súðavík its self where a grocery store, bank, post office and the famous Arctic Fox Centre can be found. By road the main Westfjords town of Ísafjörður is just 15 minutes along the number 61 road to the West, while traveling to the East takes you through the magnificent fjords of Ísafjörður Djúp to Hólmavík.
We look forward to seeing you this summer.
