Úlfljótsvatn’s campsite is one of the largest in Iceland, with the ability to fit up to 5,000 guests. The campsite is divided into 18 zones. Many of the zones are right by the lake, but otherwise it is only a short walk away.

Founded in 1941, Úlfljótsvatn Scout and Adventure Center, has been the home of Icelandic Scouts for over 80 years. Every year, all year round, we welcome Scout groups, school groups, campers and companies.
Whether it’s going up the tallest climbing tower in Iceland, hiking, kayaking in the lake or simply camping with friends and family, Úlfljótsvatn’s doors will always be open for those who want to visit our home.

The Scout center at Úlfljótsvatn operate a great camp site for the public. It is designed so that it is possible have a large scout groups camping so it can easily welcome large groups. The facilities are excellent. The camp site is a family camp site and there are many activities for children. Since it is a family camp site being drunk is not acceptable.
The facilities are excellent. Large flat areas by the lake with electricity. Fishing (zone 2) is included in the rates so guests can fish a trout for the barbeque and the children can in the meantime go climbing, kayaking or do archery (weekend activities run by staff) or play in the many playgrounds in the area. There are barbeques and benches around the area. At the Service Center you can get information and by refreshments. Guests can also use the indoor facilities with cooking facilities.
The service house has 8 showers and is open for guests at the camp site. On the campsite there are total of 4 toilet blocks, three with cold water and one with warm water. It is therefor easy for the family to keep everything and everyone clean and tidy.
A great program is offered during weekends during the summer.

Rates 2025
Adults: 1.950 kr.
Disabled and the elderly: 1.150 kr
Teenagers (13-17 years): 750 kr.
Overnight fee per sleeping unit: 450 kr (400 kr lodging tax included)
Free for children
Electricity: 1.100 kr
Included in the rates is access to showers, outdoor barbeques, service houses and fishing in the lake (zone 2).
Day price for non campers: 300 kr
