Flateyri is North-west of Onundarfjordur. The village is now a part of the Isafjordur municipiality. Flateyri has a population of approximately 300 people.
The camp site is located at the bottom of the mountain side in a small grove. Next to the camp site is a playground for children and a barbeque area. There is a short walk to the swimming pool and restaurant.
