CJA campsite is on the forest farm Hjalli, in the valley Reykjadalur, 2 km from the village Laugar, in Thingeyjarsveit district, half-way between town Akureyri and lake Myvatn. Well located on the diamond circle. On the farm the owners also run a small guesthouse, CJA guesthouse. We wish to provide you a peaceful place to rest with clean basic facilities and personal service.
You can book a spot in advance through Parka.
In the service house there are toilets and showers in heated rooms but our kitchen/dishwasing room is unheated. Guests are encouraged to recycle all garbage and there is also a waste disposal. At the information board there are informaton on activities close by as well as opening times for stores and swimming pools. Our staff is also always on hand to help you in any way. To get to the camp site you turn from highway 1 on road 846 in the village of Laugar. When you cross the bridge you turn right. In the middle of the slope you turn right (south) into an unmarked gravel road and drive to the end, about 2 km. There are camping signs on light-posts at the bridge and in the slope to guide you the right way. By the Sport center/swimming pool in Laugar there is also a sign/map.
