The new camp site in the town Patreksfjordur is located next to the community center and is very visible when entering the town. The community center has good facilities that are of use for the guests of the camp site such as toilets, showers, washing machine and cooking facilities. There is electricity and waste disposal for mobile homes.
The town Patreksfjörður has a good selection of restaurants and coffee houses plus retail stores and other services. There is a lot of activities for the family scuh as the pirates house. The sports center also has a swimming pool that has one of the best view in the country. The magnificent nature in the area offers many possibilities both on your own and also in planned excursions. A touirst informatione center is also in the area.

Close by is the famous beach Rauðisandur where you can find some seals, the largest bird cliff in Europe Látrabjarg, the famous valley Selárdalur and one of the more beautiful waterfalls in Iceland Dynjandi.
