Dream area for the family
A family friendly area with a lot of activities.
The area is in the south side of the village, in a forest that provides shelter. The camp site is in a different sized areas that are divided by trees.
There is a great view over the fjord and the sunset is indescribable. There are seperate spots for mobile homes or carvans for those who wish. Tents can also chose to have a seperate area and not be around cars or mobile homes.

The dream area for families with a ton of activities nearby
The area is located in the south side of the village, within a forest
that provides shelter. The campsite has differently sized areas which
are divided by trees.
The facilities are exquisite with hot and cold water, toilets, a brand
new set of showers, as well as hand basins both inside and
outside.Plus there is a new indoor kitchen area, where guests can cook
and relax after their day of adventure. We have electricity available,
as are a washing machine, and tumble dryer. There is a set of football
fields right next to the campsite and only a few minutes walk to the
local swimming pool which also has a hot tub and a children's pool.
The children's pool is a bit warmer with a water slide for the
smallest guests. We also have a large trampoline on the campground for
children of all ages.
A tourist information center is in the village where they provide all
information on activities, walking paths, services, museums, churches
and much more.
The campsites in Sauðárkrókur, Hofsós, Hólar and Varmahlíð are working
together. You can therefore stay the first night in any of the
campsites and the next night in any of the others at our discounted
rate, so please remember where you keep your ticket :)
